Light The Way: Charity Fundraiser For Ukraine

Join us for a powerful evening of unity, culture, and compassion at this special charity fundraiser in support of our local Ukrainian community and people who suffer from the russian war in Ukraine.

This event is organized by a dedicated volunteer committee from the Ukrainian Society of Michigan (UASMI) and the Dnipro, Ukraine Committee of Grand Rapids Sister Cities International (GRSCI). Together, we are mobilizing support for those whose lives have been devastated by war and displacement. Both organizations are registered 501(c)(3) public charities.

All proceeds will directly support:

• Critical programs for the community of Ukrainian newcomers in West Michigan led by UASMI:
  • mental health support
  • individual support services (jobs, housing, translation and interpreting, transportation assistance, resource navigation & referrals)
  • community programs and a place of belonging
• Life-saving humanitarian aid through our partner Med Help Ukraine in Dnipro, Ukraine—the official Friendship City of Grand Rapids and a frontline hub for relief efforts:
  • award winning portable whole-body ultrasound scanning devices that allow to save lives by quickly assessing and diagnosing the physical condition of wounded people on the front lines.
