Waste Reduction
– To reduce organic waste (food, yard, paper, wood, etc.) from entering area landfills & the incinerator.
– To reduce the prevalence of non-recyclable, single use materials in our waste stream
Energy Efficiency
– Scale up high-impact community energy projects.
– Expand programs that make EE and RE financially viable for residents and businesses.
Environmental Conservation
– Improve community planning and development practices to protect natural areas and water
– Support environmental education programs
Organizational Operations
– To build a strong caucus that engages residents, government, and organizations to make a positive impact on local environmental policy
– Create a strong identity where members know what’s going on and how they can participate
