The foundations of this country: liberty, the pursuit of happiness, rule of law, and the rights of citizens are being undermined in ways that should alarm every American.

Just this week, multiple US citizens were fatally shot by federal immigration agents in Minneapolis and Portland, sparking outrage and national protest as communities across the country demand answers and accountability.

This isn’t abstract or non-personal anymore. It’s real. It’s happening on American soil. It’s happening to our own neighbors. IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU.

But despair should not be our response. Waiting for someone else to act is not an option. The time to make our voices heard is now.

Join me in Grand Rapids for a peaceful protest to stand up for democracy, accountability, and the rights of all citizens.
