Call to action! Stop Republicans from gutting essential services and resources from Michigan families!

Michiganders value our freedom to provide for our families, and deserve a budget that ensures every one of us can thrive.

But the budget passed by MAGA state Republicans, with the help of State Rep. Karen Whitsett, erodes that freedom for us all. Instead of using their precious time to increase wages, fund public education, or ensure we have everything we need to care for our families, they’ve passed a budget that slashes funding for healthcare, education, water safety and so much more that our cities and towns rely on to make our communities vibrant and prosperous.

To name just a few: The House budget guts funding for the Office of Violence Prevention, making us all less safe. It cuts $300 million from food assistance programs, cuts $5 million for hospitals offering pre-natal care and $3.4 million cut in diaper assistance, along with gutting $2 billion in school funding, among millions of dollars in other cuts.
