Think your chili recipe makes Gordon Ramsay’s creations look like baby food? Got taste buds of steel and opinions to match? Perfect – because we’re about to turn up the heat at the most epic culinary showdown of 2025!
Introducing the L.E.C. Chili Smackdown, where labor unions battle it out for the spiciest bragging rights in town! (Because let’s face it, Labor Enjoys Chili!)
When: Thursday, February 27th, 5:30-7:30 PM EST
Where: Teamsters Local 406 (3315 Eastern Ave SE, Wyoming, MI)
What: A taste-bud-tingling throwdown of epic proportions!

HERE’S THE SIZZLE:
- $50 to enter your liquid gold (multiple entries welcome, you kitchen maverick!)
- Everyone gets to judge (yes, EVERYONE – democracy in action, baby!) Invite your members, families, and friends to join us as honorary judges. Ballots are only $10 each (cheaper than a trip to McDonalds).
- Want extra votes? $10 per additional ballot (because some opinions need to be heard twice – if Citizens United can do it… so can you)
- All-you-can-eat chili feast + sides + accompaniments + soft drinks (or BYOSS – Bring Your Own Special Sauce )
- Trash-talk is absolutely allowed and encouraged. Goad your opponents into making bad decisions. No chili or chef is safe. And for the whimps who sit this out- prepare for an unrelenting barage of trash-talk coming your way.
