Governor Debate Watch Party

The first televised debate for Michigan governor is happening right here in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, October 6, and we’re watching it with Grand Rapids’ own Winnie Brinks!

Join Winnie, Jocelyn Benson’s running mate for lieutenant governor, as Jocelyn takes on John James. Winnie is the Michigan Senate Majority Leader, the first woman to lead the chamber, and a former Grand Rapids-area teacher. Together, Jocelyn and Winnie would make history as Michigan’s first all-woman governor and lieutenant governor team.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Grab a seat, meet other volunteers, and hear how you can help carry the momentum into November. The debate starts at 7:00 and runs an hour.

Everyone is welcome, and no experience is needed. Location to be announced 48hrs before the event, so RSVP now to be notified when it’s announced. If you bring a friend, make sure they RSVP too!
