DESCRIPTION:The Kent County 2026 County Convention will convene on Saturday\, August 15\, 2026 at 10am via Zoom. \nThe purpose of the convention will be to elect members to the state convention committees and consider resolutions to put before the party’s membership.  The Michigan Dems’s State Convention will take place on Saturday\, August 19th in Lansing at the Lansing Center. \nFor more information about the MI Dems Nominating Convention Click Here\nRead Below for the Call To Convention \n____________________________________________________________________________________ \nCALL TO CONVENTION\nSATURDAY\, AUGUST 15\, 2026 \nThe Kent County Democrats must hold a County Convention on August 15\, 2020 in advance of the Michigan  Democratic Party State Nominating Convention  August 29\, 2026. (Official Call to State Nominating Convention attached.) Our county convention may be held virtually\, further instructions to follow. \nThe purpose of this county convention is to elect members and alternates to the State Convention Credentials Committee. \nWho may participate:  \n\nMembers of the MDP in Kent County (Must be MDP member by Thursday\, July 16 to be eligible to vote at the August 15 County or District Conventions. *Does not apply to Precinct Delegates\, Democratic elected officials and Democratic nominees to partisan office\, per MDP Rule 3.2.2. )\nPrecinct Delegates elected on the August 4 ballot.
